COVID-19 Update

Last Updated: 21th February 2021

Status Updates

Inline with the easing of restrictions in NSW, Mac Centre have updated our policy allowing our employees to return to the office if they choose, but ensuring that we follow NSW COVID-Safe guidelines.

We will continue to restrict Vistor Access except for the purpose of dropping off or collecting repairs, orders, or other equipment. Any visitor who visits should only be in the office for the shortest time possible. Visitors are encouraged to wear a mask while on the premises. In office (in person) meetings with clients, vendors, or partners will be allowed, all parties should manage and limit any risk of exposure to Covid.

Our Procurement and Sales Operations teams continue to operate at full capacity and continue to work closely with our vendors and suppliers to minimise disruption to order and deliveries. Due to current restrictions across the supply-chain, most warehouses (vendor and Mac Centre operated) and courier & logistics services are running at significantly reduced capacity impacting both dispatch and shipping times. Unfortunately, please expect ongoing delays with deliveries.

Our Managed IT Services and Technical Services team remain fully staffed and on-call to continue supporting our clients. We are actively working with clients to examine their own plans and preparations for potential disruptions or changes caused by COVID-19. Should you want to discuss how we can help your business with your plans, please get in touch.

Our Repair Services team continue to operate but with reduced capacity. Clients are encouraged to continue utilising our Repair Services Portal to book and organise repair collections. Due to reduced courier and logistics services in Sydney and Melbourne, please allow for delays with inbound and outbound deliveries. In-person drop-offs and collections are available as per our Visitor Access guidelines above.

COVID Response

In response to COVID-19, Mac Centre have taken a number of steps to ensure business continuity for all our customers and introduced a number of safeguards to reduce the risk of disruption to the services we provide.

The health and safety of our employees, their families, customers and partners is paramount, and we have implemented a range of measures to minimise any risks.

Mac Centre already provides flexible working arrangements for our staff, with the tools and resources already deployed to do our jobs securely from any location.

We have all staff working from home where it is practical to do so, and have implemented COVID Safe guidelines for the reduced number of staff that are required in each of our locations. We have also taken steps to minimise employee travel and will conduct internal and external meetings virtually as much as possible.

This is an unprecedented time for everyone, and the situation is changing in real-time.  We will keep you informed of any additional actions that we may need to take. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out if you would like to discuss any concerns that you may have or how we can continue to support you.

Thank you and stay safe.
